We’re proud to supply both Own Label potatoes and our ‘Blas y Tir’ brand to retailers and wholesalers throughout Wales. ‘Blas y Tir’ is home of our flagship Pembrokeshire Early Potatoes, which gained European Protected Geographical Status (PGI) in 2013. Gaining this protected food status demonstrates the world class food that Wales has to offer, and puts our Pembrokeshire Early Potatoes (PGI) on a par with other protected food and drink including; Champagne, Parma Ham and, of course, Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef.
As well as supplying potatoes all year round, we work with the best growers in Wales to supply an increasing range of delicious seasonal vegetables, including Leeks, Cauliflower, Savoy Cabbage, Broccoli and Spring Onions. We’re also proud to supply Welsh Daffodils when in season.
We are proud to provide a whole range of potato varieties to our customers throughout the year. From classic Maris Piper and King Edward potatoes, through to new varieties such as Belana, we’re always looking to provide our customers with the best tasting potatoes possible.
Our PGI status Pembrokeshire Earlies are our flagship product in the Blas y Tir range, and are grown by dedicated growers in the heart of Pembrokeshire. With their soft flaky skins, creamy texture and rich, nutty taste, our Pembrokeshire Earlies are as unique as the land they come from.
A national symbol of Wales, we are delighted to provide Welsh leeks to our loyal Welsh consumers. Our Leeks are generally in season between August-April and are delicious added to casseroles, pies, roast dinners and a whole manner of other dishes.
You'll find our Spring Onions in retail stores between May-October. They're available either bunched or pre-packed. They are delicious in salads, sandwiches and stir-fry’s.
Available from September-July, our Welsh Cauliflower is a delicious and healthy addition to any meal. Demand for our Cauliflower's has tripled in size over the last few years and we now supply large amounts of Cauliflower to multiple retailers in Wales.
Our Welsh Savoy Cabbage has become a key component to the Welsh fresh produce offering here at Puffin Produce. Our customers love the rich green colour and crispy leaves, perfect simply sauteed with a knob of Welsh butter and a pinch of Welsh sea salt.
Celebrating our 10th year of growing Welsh Daffodils in 2017, we’re hoping for many more years of supplying this iconic flower to the whole of Wales. Our daffodil season runs from January-April and includes supporting big St. David’s day celebrations in retailers and communities.
