An Oar-Some day Dragon Boat Racing!

On Sunday, you would have found the Puffin Produce team sporting some fetching life jackets, aboard a Dragon Boat in Llys-Y-Fran Reservoir.

This was the second time that the Welsh Dragon Boat Race Championship has taken place, with 20 teams competing in heats to win £500 towards their charity of choice.

Those not wanting to watch the racing in its entirety were entertained by the excellent variety of live music accompanied by Radio Pembrokeshire’s live coverage of the event itself. The Blas y Tir van also made an appearance, spreading the word of our Pembrokeshire Earlies – which are now available to buy in stores throughout Wales.

Although we didn’t make it through to the final stage of the competition, we had a great day and all stayed within the boat! The sun also made an appearance towards the end of the afternoon – it seems that summer is well on its way!
