Wishing Pembrokeshire a ‘dafft’ Mothers Day
As has now become a bit of a tradition within the local area, we were delighted to be able to donate some of our wonderful Welsh daffodils to local schools for Mother’s Day again this year!
This year the target of donating Welsh daffodils to local schools for Mothering Sunday was a bit more of a challenge due to the weather…
“An unusually mild winter has seen the season for our Welsh daffodils peak particularly early this year, with an abundance of daffodils available in Welsh supermarkets throughout January and February, as well as over St. Davids Day” explains Megan Tye, Marketing Manager at Puffin. “This year, we’ve donated over 2,000 bunches of Welsh daffodils to 7 local Pembrokeshire schools, meaning every child in the school can take home a bunch of daffodils for their mums for Mothers Day. It’s great to be able to make this donation so that children in our local area are able to take home something a little extra from school for their families this Mother’s Day.”
Asda, Morrisions and Waitrose stores throughout Wales have been selling Blas y Tir daffodils since the beginning of January.
